Poetry Collection Two: Cold Dark Difficult Truths
()
About this ebook
In this, her second book of poetry, Ashley Rebecca Kingston draws back a curtain for her readers. She takes them on a journey - a jarring, dramatic journey full of love and woe, fraught with twists and turns. Each line invokes a feeling, each poem paints a picture. Light and dark, night and day. All is here for all to see with such cold, dark, difficult truths laid bare in fifty-one different poems.
Ashley Rebecca Kingston
Ashley was born during a blizzard in Kingston, Ontario; and grew up in Victoria, BC with her parents and younger sibling. As a child she has traveled the world, and as an adult she has lived in Vancouver, BC, and Santiago de Cuba. Ashley has made her home again in Victoria, BC with her amazing husband Adrien, their cutest little boy Alasdair and crazy dog Beyonce. Being home-schooled Ashley passionately taught herself to read and write, she still enjoys learning new things but on her terms. It is difficult to find the time in between starting a new family and life getting in the way, but Ashley still enjoys reading, writing and researching; designing, problem solving and adult intellectual conversations.

Author’s Note:
The following poems are of my creation. They are my stories, my songs. My life. While a poem may be received and interpreted differently by different people, there are words and themes contained within these lines that some readers may find are not suitable for younger audiences.
It took some courage within myself to put together and let out into the world this particular collection of poems... my stories.
