With Passion Comes Pain is a collection of poems, journal entries, and reflections. They dwell into the world of love, hatred, sadness, abandonment, and all things ugly that make the universe beautiful. These poems were written from age twelve to eighteen. They bounce back and forth from coming to terms with the beauty of existence to forgetting an essence, purpose, and even back again. A person does not become mentally healthy from one day to another. There are always going to be obstacles, such as love, heartbreak, loss of hope, loss of self-worth, and emotional and spiritual abuse from the environment. Welcome to Natalia Maciass world of words. Sadness, abandonment and carelessness is all I have ever known. In 2010, I fell into a pool of depression, anxiety and loss of self-love. After six years of fighting, I decided to give up. Luckily, my attempts were unsuccessful, and my words were. Love was something I felt I needed to keep going. A purpose was a concept I felt I needed to want to wake up. And Spirituality was a quality I needed to finally know myself and everything I am connected to.
