About this ebook

This book of poems is about heartbreak, the heartbreak of being in love with someone whose love was just out of reach. It made no difference if we were on opposite sides of the earth or sitting across from each other at a candlelit table; her love was always just out of reach. You ask yourself why he would torture himself in such a way. My answer would be, if you knew her like I did, that question would never even enter your mind. Add to the mix that she never knew how much I loved her and there you have a recipe for a poetry book of brokenhearted poems.

    * ACKNOWLEDGEMENT *

    TAKU NISHIMAE

    President/Senior Producer at Zengo Inc

    Taku has been a friend of mine for over 30 years, our relationship started as a working one but in a very short amount of time developed into one brothers, where East met West, in a blend of creativity, family and love, with his support this book would still be in my hard drive, and not on printed page, we are not like brothers to each other, we are brothers.

    Susan Miree and Sheila Sturks

    these two ladies over the years have suffered through some of the worse poems anyone could endure, but have always, pushed me to continue writing, and when they saw there saw a hint of talent, they pushed me even more, until I had a small body of work they thought was good, then the real pressure started, they pushed me to perform at small clubs book readings, and at times just for them (those were the ones I enjoyed the most) then came the day they told me it's time to publish my work, that’s when the real pressure started, with each new poem i wrote their voices got louder, and more threatening, but in a loving way, so thanks to the both of you ladies and your unending pushing me to publish my work, I'm here, I love the both of you for getting me to this point, and always will.

    Lolita and Grady Crumply

    This couple has been a recent addition to my very small circle of friends, but their love for one another, has left a lasting impression on me, I don’t believe in reincarnation, but I should come back by any chance, I want to comeback as them, btw did I mention that they are not a young couple, (sorry guys) but their love is ..

    To my daughters,

    Karen, Kim, Lauren, Jazmyn, Lexington

    Because I love them and my grandsons Kj and Kenzo do more than granddaddy did

    To my Facebook friendsand family

    Thank you for the likes, comments and shares of my work.

    1 Corinthians 13:4-8

    4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous. It does not brag, does not get puffed up, 5 does not behave indecently, does not look for its own interests, does not become provoked. It does not keep account of the injury. 6 It does not rejoice over unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth. 7 It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

    8 Love never fails.

    * A DIAMOND HEART *

    It is a known fact

    That the diamond is the hardest

    Natural thing on earth

    They are formed under great pressure and heat

    So they are very hard

    But if hit just right

    It can be cut

    Or shattered into many pieces

    With just a slight tap

    The heart is like that diamond

    It can take a great amount of pressure

    And heat

    It can be hard and can take a lot

    But like that diamond if hit just right

    With the slightest

    Words and actions

    It too will break and shatter

    Into many pieces

    My heart is that diamond

    Notes

    * A HARD WORLD *

    If I don't think hard

    How can I become a better man

    If I don't work hard

    How can I provide for you

    If I don't fight hard

    How can I protect you

    If i don't love hard

    How can I satisfy you

    This is a hard world

    Snd it takes a hard man
