How Embarrassing. was a long process. I have always been interested in peoples most embarrassing moment. More of a get to know someone conversational piece. I never thought of putting the stories in a book. I had a handful of stories that I remembered, but needed many more. My dear husband was able to give me a few, just in the short time we have been together. The more I was digging especially in his family, I found some beautiful gems. Each story in the book is true, with only the names changed as not to offend anyone. I have really enjoyed writing this book and my hope is that you find one or more of the stories humorous.

What is the difference between humor and laughter

Laughter is innate, and you are born with your Laughter. You have unique sounds that are your own. Some people snort, others belly laugh. You do not have to get the joke, or hear a story to order to laugh.

Humor begins forming during your early life lessons of what is appropriate or inappropriate (such as ridicule or teasing) to laugh about. Once the perception has deciphered what is appropriate your laughter sounds can begin.

Everyone has heard that laughter is the best medicine.

But does it work?

Studies have shown that laughter and humor can produce positive outcomes such as:

It is my hope that you find one or two of these stories funny. I was amazed how people were willing to give their stories up, I find that people love to laugh especially at themselves. Many people have the same re-occurring embarrassing moments like I was walking along and my pants fell to my ankle. Funny, but common. Another re-occurring embarrassing story is I came out of the bathroom toilet paper on my shoe or toilet paper hanging out the back of my pants. These are funny stories, but they don’t quite make the most embarrassing stories. I am looking for stories that are unique and hilarious. Unique enough that it could only happen to a handful of people. Hilarious enough to cause you to laugh hysterically. So don’t feel offended if your story doesn’t make the book. And don’t feel offended, if I ask for a different story.
