I’ve promised a few people that I would jot down my daily occurrences for posterity. I’ve never done this before and the page seems awfully big.
I really feel I should have started this project much sooner, as my mind at this age is a little woozy.
So here goes!
Let me give you a short synopsis on who I am. I believe people in this dorp view me as somewhat of an oddball. Besides, I am one of the very few English-speaking people here. Although I am 77 going on 78 years, my dress code is nothing like most of the ladies here. Looking at photos of my granny – my goodness, she was old! After all, she was my granny. I later found out this granny was only 48 years old at the time; she was very smart in her corsets, with stockings, hat, handbag and gloves.
I am computer literate and cannot do without my cell phone. I drive a car and race around the supermarket in a mobility scooter, which my son donated to help me feel more independent.
The reason for the mobility scooter came when the supermarket trolley ran away with me on a downhill slope. Instead of letting it go, I hung on, being dragged along, and then fell flat on my face. I could not jump
