If you are glued to a certain idea, it prevents you from seeing the present as it is.
Ex. If you have to look happy all the time, you cant address the situation logically or accurately.
Ideas may be wrong. What you think is important may not be.
Ex. I thought my wisteria vine was dead and it was more beautiful than ever this year because of the rain.
Ex. I felt sad that I did not sweep my patio before my guests arrived, but they didnt go there anyway.
Ideas are often slippery. You have to grab them before they disappear.
