About this ebook
DCS
My name is Dora Crystal Solis and I have lived in Superior, AZ with family and friends my whole life. I have always been fascinated with science fiction ever since I’ve seen Star Wars and I have always been a fan of Anne McCaffrey’s books and characters. She has been my inspiration for writing science fiction. On the fantasy side mainly reading and hearing the different versions of fairy tales and reading stories of knights, princesses, princes, all the mythical creatures and the like have been my inspiration for that form of writing as well as dreaming about this kind of stuff. This story officially took off when my cousin Brittney (who I co-wrote this with) both decided that we wanted to turn this into a full fledged book which at first turned into a story she wrote for school, and then the characters and the plot changed and blossomed to what is now about five years later. I currently have another book out: Finding My Way to the Lord this is my first Christian Inspirational book, with some more to come. I even have a journal out entitled Question & Answer Journal with some more journals to come, more like it possibly and some dream ones that I’m almost done with. They are available at the following websites: www2.xlibris.com, amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com

Bottom line: Jesus wins, END OF STORY! PS. 33:18-22, 121:7-8 Matthew 5:3-12, John 11:25-26, Romans 5:1-5 8:16-18,26, 1 Thess. 4:13-18
Inspiration for this: The last two basically all Bible based. The other 6 my life broken down and hopefully someone else that wants to help, that has been going through basically what I have, the Church, etc.
PREFACE
This particular book came together by the inspiration that the book is entitled. Everything that is mentioned Chapter by chapter I have overcome with the help of God first of all and then the help of my friends and other loved ones. This book helped me not to just overcome but to come to terms with what’s going on and see the silver lining in each and every circumstance that has presented itself by either personal or hearsay. The only good thing about all of this mainly is the Lord has and will triumph in the end. The first few chapters is the cares of life that we face day to day. The 5th Chapter is dedicated to my family and the 6th, well I don’t want to give that away, but you will soon see. The 7th chapter is somewhat of a plea from me and the Lord to give your Heart to Jesus and the last one is a little about the benefits of following Jesus Christ. Hope you enjoy reading this book as much as I have put it together; all for the Honor and Glory of God.
*You will also see throughout this book that I make references to some of the other chapters throughout and some other books I am currently writing. And that I also repeat myself just to enlighten you on some key and very important points. *
CHAPTER 1
• I’ve Seen IT—Effects of Alcohol and Drugs . . . .
Let’s face it, all or most of our family are doing it; be it drugs or alcohol and we can’t tip-toe around it and ignore it like if it’s not a big thing, it is!! And you will see just how big and the effects of it if not stopped sooner rather than later!! You may not do it any longer, have the taste or feel of it like myself, but truth be told and a proven fact that it’s a big problem!
For me, for you and society in general. Here’s why: (1) You put it before family, friends, and God. Sure, possibly less than half of the population is bound by it or knows people who are and even though it doesn’t have the same effect; and right now I’m talking about alcohol, or what my friend used to call it: Satan sauce! (Drugs can be bad or worse; but let’s focus on the booze for a second.) Some can hold their liquor, some say and do off the wall things, some lash out and hurt themselves and others with words or punches, etc. And some talk in their sleep and everything sets them off and makes them moody-they don’t hurt you with physical violence, per se, but with words! Here’s a little testimony about me and that drink that consists of H2O, maybe fruit juice (talking about Wine coolers) and lots of alcohol and God knows what else (regular beer and every stinking one under the sun that’s out there now!); and can you believe they use God’s symbols and logos for them some examples: Bud Weiser and Bud Light! Ok here it is about myself and how I got out of its clutches, sorry venting again: I actually enjoyed wine coolers and you might say to yourself: That sissy drink?
Say what?? That’s not even hard liquor.
But believe, you me, as in me, Dora Crystal over here. And if you know me at all you can understand this: One sip and it made me all tipsy and thanks be to God I haven’t done anything crazy with it except share it with my cousins!! It was good, it was addictive because the flavor itself was wowee! I’ve only had three my whole life which spans I would say the past 10-13 years of my life. One was with my cousins as I mentioned, two with just one of my other cousins (but I
