I live on the beautiful island of the Bahamas. Where am surrounded by love from my wonderful family and friends. I spend my time writing poems and lyrics. I enjoy reading and going to the beach just to gaze out at the ocean. What brought me to poetry is my love for books. Ever since I was small I was in love with books. My mom would buy me books for my birthday present because at the time that was the only thing I was interested in. Writing this book was very enjoyable. This book portrays the feelings of a lot of people that have been either in contact with me or strangers that just pass me by. They gave me the inspiration to write this book. So am very grateful to them for being my muse. Living on the island there is not much to do. So I spend my time with books. I know that’s not very enjoyable for some people. But for me it’s very relaxing and calming.

Love
When you hear the word love or read the word love what comes to mind? Is it a person or is it something else that you think about? Love is such a unique word. And it can be expressed in a lot of ways. There are many kinds of love that an individual can offer. Like a love for your family, your friends, your animal, your car etc… But don’t confuse infatuation or lust for love because they are different. When you love a person, you give them all of you not just half. And you can’t be in love one minute and then in the next minute fall in love with someone else. How can your feelings be switched off like that? Is love a switch that you can turn off and on at any given moment? It should be special. The love I am talking about is the one you feel when you meet that one person you are willing to spend the rest of your life with. Some call it soul mate
others say one true love
. What do you say? Maybe you have already found that person whom you have given your heart to. And others are still looking for that one person who takes their breath away. That one individual you can tell all your secrets to. They give you butterflies every time you look at them and you know that they will always make you feel this way even when you become old. They make you feel desirable or alive for the first time in your life. They might even make your heart beat like a drum. That is the kind of love I am talking about. And those individuals that are still searching for their one true love, maybe you have already found them but don’t know it yet. They could be around the corner. Who knows? But open your eyes and let your heart guide you. Never be afraid to fall in love.
Heart-Break
Have you ever had a broken heart? Or maybe had your feelings hurt. Has the one you loved abandoned you for someone else? And you feel lost. And you can’t stop the tears from falling from your eyes. The memories that you shared won’t go away. The
