No Easy Way Out - Nina Hearn

No Easy Way Out: My Poetic Journey

    Nina Hearn

    Sections:

    Love or Lack Thereof

    Reflecting & Protecting

Learning to Cope and Have Hope

Feelings of Self Love & Healing

    Inspirations & Dedications

    It’s all about the poetry

    The flow in me

    The words that describe

    And the rhythm that rides

    The wave I create

    That lifts the weight

    Of my reality

    Allowing me to be

    Free

    And speak my mind

Express myself on my own time

Showcasing a talent that is truly divine

    A gift from God

    From a flawed

    Emerging being

    Fleeing

    The constraints of societal standards

    Please allow my candor

To bless your mind and hopefully feed your soul

    Here we go...

    Love or Lack Thereof

    Hard Lessons in Love

Starting with issues of the heart

I’ll never be able to play my part

Or whatever the fuck that means

    It seems

To only benefit you when you like

And you wonder why it’s always a fight

    With me

    Constantly

In my eyes, there’s nothing to play

    I’m either here to stay

Or I’m going on about my way

    There’s no in between

    It’s very black and white

    You have every right

    To do whatever you like

Just know that my version of playing my part

    Will break your heart

    Entitlement

It’s ask and you shall receive, huh?

In your mind, I’ll never leave, huh?

    You feel entitled

    To recycle

    The same excuses

    As if I’m stupid

And can’t see what you’re doing

Your problems take precedence over mine

    And I should always find

    A way to help you

    If only you knew,

Love without reciprocation can only go so far

And your lack of concern only reopens scars

    That were healing

Being used is a horrible feeling

    That
