Bonevento, is six and he meets Mary Ann who is seven. Over the years, they continue as friends sharing common interests, until one summer day in 1961, they discover that they have fallen in love.

This book is a tribute to a love story spanning some sixty years.

Our story started when Mary Ann was seven and I was six. We met in Ardonia, New York, sharing a wonderful two weeks as children. Over the years, we continued as friends, sharing common interests, until one summer day in 1961, we discovered that we had fallen in love.

Our romance and long marriage is a treasure of shared joys. We have so such much in common—we even have the same birthday, making for a very special annual celebration.

The idea of a collection of verses started years ago as a unique gift for Mary Ann, and it grew into this book. I hope these verses touch your heart and bring you some inkling of the joy of romance.
