Dedication

I dedicate this book to all of the endless lovers out there. Love is a beautiful emotion, and it is even more amazing when the feeling is mutual. My poems come from a real place. Real-life love affairs and situations that I've been through inspired these words. My love poems reflect my desire to give love and receive love unconditionally.

I’ve always believed that to have a happy and lasting relationship both parties must give... Not fifty-fifty but one-hundred percent from each person. Life has a way of breaking you down; paying bills, chasing kids, and the occasional movie nights on the sofa can become mundane. The routine of it all could make couples feel like their relationship is stagnant. Soon, not even ninety-nine and a half will do. And, a person who’s giving ninety-nine and a half percent of their energy to anything is giving a lot. However, if the energy is misplaced - going out here and there and everywhere except to their significant other, what does it matter?

What’s a relationship without romance? Romance is often lost over the years - drowned by the bliss of parenthood, work, family, and friends. Don’t let the fire burn out. Rekindle the romance and if the fire is still burning - keep it burning. I’m a hopeless romantic, and I’ve used poems to break the ice, ease the pain or just to make the man in my life feel special. Whether you know it or not, poetry is at the start of every stimulating conversation and the pillow talk at the end of a long day.

Poems inspire us, motivate us, and encourage us to push a little harder. Poetry and love go hand and hand. We need love, and we need to rekindle our passion for romance. I Love You Sweetheart is my way of helping lovers and friends bridge the gap - my way of helping couples relate to love and my way of expressing love.

Today is a gift, but tomorrow is never a promised day. That is why I’ve given this project my very best.  It is my hope that true love will
