The desire to love and be loved is one of the most universal human experiences and, at it's core, it is a very good thing.  But in our chaotic world, where so many of us struggle with worthiness, and we carry these heavy wounds from our past, this pure and beautiful desire has been distorted into a craving that reinforces our lack of worth and disconnects us from love rather than bringing us closer to it. 
We imagine that the right person will make everything better but this is a trick of the ego and not true.  When we bring our wounding to relationships, those relationships can only reflect those wounds.  It's not really a relationship you seek, it is a feeling of being worthy, lovable, alive, and passionate and when you feel like this, love is never far away. 
The goal is not to find someone to make you feel better, it is to learn to live fully alive and embodying a state of love.  In that state, everything you're looking for will find you.
