Foreword
My name is Jean Hanekom, I have decided to write a book of how I have combated my depression, in a few simple steps that I do every day, which have changed my life from being suicidal to a life filled with motivation and positivity and the result was a better-quality life
All that was written in this book is techniques that is not medically proven. But what I believe in, it worked for me, and I hope if you follow everything and give it a good chance, that it will work for you
My aim is to safe lives, to help people think better of themselves, because there is not one person on this earth that is worthless, everyone is priceless, everyone is spectacular, everyone is beautiful. Everyone is unique
My depression came about, I had a massively abusive boss, I loved the company but a boss that was abusive, I could never do anything right in his eyes. I had to fight a disease that was growing and needed regular medical attention to keep it at bay. A relationship that meant the world to me, was broken…. I felt I had nothing to live for. I bought drugs and used it. I then climbed into my car and wanted to jump of a certain bridge. While driving a friend phoned me nonstop and convinced me not to do something stupid. After many tears I promised him, I will not do something stupid and will get help.
I was in a position where I could make use of a psychologist, but decided not to, the reason being was,
I know how it felt like when filled with medication, and I wanted to do this medication free
A psychologist works on in the past, but I wanted to focus on the future
In the end I had a life coach and had a mind coach, I used these methods because I believed, a depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain, and it became there naturally, and so I can also reverse it to the norm naturally.
By no means was my path easy… it was so difficult at times, that I thought I could still end my life…
I kept going with my techniques, everyday… it must be done every day, because the
