INTRODUCTION :
Zen Centered is a testimonial to what I’ve learned from my life’s work as a holistic healer and my own personal healing journey. They are one in the same. After over twenty five years of helping women heal from traumatic grief, depression, eating disorders and other psychosomatic distress, I write this Radical Self Care guide to share with you what I’ve learned about healing our Intuitive Bodies. We can learn how to heal the mysterious psychosomatic symptoms that cause us suffer and reverse the cycle of burn out. this guide will help you learn how.
Zen Centered Holistic Healing Principles and Practices for Radical Self Care of the Intuitive Body
1. Whole Person Healing : Body Mind and Spirit
2. Holistic Lifestyle Remedies to Restore and Renew the Intuitive Body
a. Whole Foods as Medicines
b. Plants as Natural Medicines
c. Yoga as Medicine : Music Sound Movement
3. Mindfulness as Medicine for the Mind to Heal the Body
Personal Narrative : You know how it is…you pride your self in being healthy, fit and active in your life, busy building your new business dream. Then the unexpected happens – a big ford truck rear ends your little hybrid car and you end up with a bad case of whiplash. Just when you recover your self enough to get back on your feet, your landlord dies and his heir wants to remodel your property.
When you’re moving out of the house you called home, A box drops on your foot and a hairline fracture takes you down and out for another six months of your mid-life. no big deal,
you tell your self, I’ll be back on my feet in no time.
Haha. Sounds good but then reality sets in.
In the real world, No time at all
stretches into weeks and then months, I find myself restless, angry and despairing. I can barely move but my mind is running away with my optimism. as my mind becomes my own worst enemy, my thoughts become dark and pessimistic, lost in the shadows. this is my story of how I recovered my self from an epic fall that turned into a mental health crisis I was embarrassed to have.
Radical Self Care was the miracle I was called upon to create in my own life – once I faced my own descent into depressing thoughts and despairing feelings. My call to awaken. This healing journey is what has inspired me to record the lessons I have learned and share them with you in Zen Centered: Healing Your Intuitive Body.
If you are ready to let go of distracting your self into a medical or mental health crisis, Zen Centered is here to help you to navigate your way through the darkness into insight and understanding.
