    INTRODUCTION

    This book contains critical information about your health. You will see that what you put in your mouth, and digest in your digestive system is directly leading to health problems in epidemic proportions, causing five of the major diseases including heart attack, stroke, diabetes, high blood pressure and cancer. Heart attack and stroke account for over fifty-percent of all deaths in the United States. This book is designed purposely to enlighten you on which foods you may be eating that help contribute to the development of many of these major diseases and what health experts are saying about these foods.

    According to a host of major health experts including the World Health Organization saturated fats and cholesterol are the leading cause of obesity, heart attacks, strokes, high blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis, and cancers (including breast, prostate, and lung).

    In opposition to this position, other leading health experts are coming out in support of saturated fats. According to Jimmy Moore, and Eric C. Westman, M.D., a low-carb, high-fat diet is a healthy diet. In their book, Keto Clarity they state that our cultural perception about fat being harmful is wrong. Consuming fat is necessary so that you can burn it as an alternative fuel source. Fat leads to feeling fuller, acts an alternative fuel, and triggers what they call ketone production, burning fat to fuel energy rather than glucose.

    Taking yet a different approach, according to Dr. Amy Lee, Bariatric Physician who specializes in obesity medicine her research reflects that major causes of America’s 34% obesity rate is due primarily to unknown and unnatural substances including high fructose corn syrup.

    Still other leading health experts including bio-chemist and nutritionist Jay Foster conclude that fats are not the cause but rather other substances such as casein, a protein found primarily in dairy products as a leading cause for many of these major health problems.

    How can there be such a discrepancy in so many health experts’ opinions?

    Our research has discovered an element consistently found in patients with major diseases, including heart attacks, strokes, high blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis and kidney stones. This could explain the discrepancy in the above health experts’ opinions.     CHAPTER 1

    NUTRITION EDUCATION IS THE KEY TO WEIGHT LOSS AND BETTER HEALTH

    During the past 30 years, there has been a dramatic increase in obesity and chronic disease. Americans are getting heavier and sicker. Childhood obesity has tripled. Heart disease is the number one killer of women taking more lives than all forms of cancer combined.

    We are living in a time in human evolution when our bodies and digestive systems are exposed to more unnatural food substances and toxins than ever before. This is causing extreme stress on your body’s processing systems including your kidney and liver. These are key organs that help control your weight and keep you from being ill or overweight. Unnatural food substances and toxins are foreign to your body’s digestive system;, resulting in increased body weight.

    Digestion includes three main functions: (1) breaking down foods you eat, (2) absorbing nutrients from them and (3) eliminating excess waste and toxins from your body.

    Either the food you eat is processed and reconstructed through your digestive system to give you steady energy throughout the day or it is stored on your body as fat to be used for energy later. If the foods you eat are not being properly broken down, or if your body is not properly absorbing those foods to get the nutrients it needs or if you are not properly eliminating waste and toxins from your body then you are more likely to store weight on your body rather than using what you eat as energy. Food is not properly broken down when you eat your food too fast or when you improperly combine foods that do not digest well together. Also, you are not properly absorbing nutrients into your cells because you may be eating foods with little or no nutritional value. Another reason you may not be absorbing nutrients from your food is that you are drinking liquids with your meals. The liquids dilute the digestive juices and hydrochloric acid that breaks down food before they are absorbed into your intestines, in general, foods will not be properly absorbed or eliminated from your body when your body’s plumbing system is not working at optimal capacity to pass waste and toxins from your body consistently. It may also be that toxins have over-loaded your system such that what you eat adds more toxins than what your body is trying to eliminate, leaving toxins regardless of other healthy solutions.

    Unlike the past, when health and weight were controlled by a more natural diet rich with vitamins, minerals and other nutrients necessary for life and growth, today our health and weight are controlled by medication, pills, surgery, or diets consisting of natural foods that have been genetically modified with growth hormones.

    Understanding how the ingredients that you put in your mouth affect every part of your body and how the digestive processing system within your body functions will give you a better understanding of what you need to do to get your body in the shape and condition that you desire. This requires that you understand how living cells make up your body. It is critically important that you understand that your biological purpose for eating is to supply these intelligent living cells with proper nutrients they need to keep them reproducing normally and keep you alive, fit, and healthy. A fundamental secret within this book is that good nutrition controls good health and weight loss. The goal of this book is to educate you about good health and weight loss by making nutrition clear and simple to understand.

    A WORD OF CAUTION

    If you are taking prescription drugs, it is extremely important that you work closely with your physician or health care provider to adjust medication as you lose weight and your health improves.

    Diet Versus Nutrition - There is a difference between diet and nutrition. Diet is the food you consume. You may consume a large diet that literally starves your body in terms of nutrition. The average American allows their taste buds to determine what foods they consume in their diets. Just because your stomach is full does not mean that the cells of your body have received the nutrition they need for healthy functioning.

    Nutrition, on the other hand, is giving the cells in your body what they need to continue reproducing strong healthy cells. Nutrition focuses more on what the body needs. Nutrition is concerned with nutrients in the food and drinks you consume getting to your cells and tissues to nourish your body.

    Some people believe that if they eat nutritious foods (fruits, vegetables, etc.) they will not feel full or satisfied and will get hungry quicker. This is a misconception. Fruits and vegetables have a high water content. They also digest and leave your stomach quicker. This is part of what makes these foods healthy. Other healthy benefits such as fiber help you to fill full. It is important to note that when your cells are nourished, the feeling of hunger goes away. Super foods are foods that contain the Creator’s wisdom and intelligence within them. Your creator gave you a body to live in and programmed it to know what to do with the proper nutritious foods. These Super foods know how to excite your senses and satisfy your cells with the nutrients they need to survive. What is equally important is that the design of your body is such that it heals itself when given the proper foods. Your body has a form of intelligence and wisdom engineered within it that knows what to do and how to process these foods. The Creator’s foods have miraculous healing powers packed within them. They are designed with the same wisdom and intelligence as your living cells in order to provide the exact measure of living nutrients your body needs. Nutritious foods ensure that your bloodstream remains pure (clean) and your cells are well nourished.

    Plant foods such as fruits and vegetables contain enzymes, which are the life force in food. Enzymes are proteins that allow chemical reactions to occur within your body. Enzymes are what turn a banana from green to yellow and then makes it ripen so that it develops dark spots and eventually turns totally black. This is the enzyme life force at work. This same life force or energy causes a single seed to become a tall tree and bear fruit. This same life force also keeps you alive, healthy and rejuvenates you while you sleep.

    Enzymes Hold the Key to Life - Enzymes are energized protein molecules found in all living cells, which catalyze and regulate all biochemical reactions that occur within the human body. They break down proteins, fats, carbohydrates and fiber making it possible to benefit from the nutrients found in those foods while removing toxins. Enzymes turn the food we eat into energy for the body to use. They digest foods, transport nutrients, carry away toxic waste, purify the blood, deliver hormones, balance cholesterol and triglycerides, nourish the brain, build protein into muscle, feed and fortify the endocrine system, and slows the aging process.

    Food scientists are working hard in their kitchen laboratories to come up with nutritious good tasting food; but the life force added by the creator is missing. They cannot duplicate the life force, called enzymes, that knows how to heal your body and control your weight.

    Enzymes are the substances that carry life in every living thing. Enzymes are needed for every chemical and biological reaction that occurs in your body. You cannot run, walk breath or blink, without enzymes. You cannot see or hear, think or move a muscle or have sex without them. You cannot digest your food, repair your cells or cleanse your body without the activity provided by enzymes. Enzymes are the very life force that activates vitamins minerals, protein, and other physical components in your body.

    Enzymes are the substances that cause an apple or a peach to ripen and eventually rot. If you place a green banana on your window for a few days, you can watch it turn yellow develop brown speckles and then finally turn black. This is enzyme activity. A piece of raw chicken left on the same windowsill will begin to have an unpalatable order. Enzymes are breaking down the flesh. It is decomposing. When you eat fruit the enzymes in the fruit have already pre-digested it (started the digestion process) before the enzymes in your body have to work to finish off the task.
