She is a Combat Veteran, Author, Entrepreneur, Speaker and Certified Life Coach. This CEO of When She Rise, LLC operates a Coaching Academy helps clients explore the strategies to transform their pain into the fuel that gets them laser focused on their "Special Sauce". Having come from a military family, she was exposed to the military mindset at a young age. Both of her parents were WWII Veteran Heroes who served our great country. So growing up in a family of service, there was no real surprise when she (the youngest of 7 girls) joined the military herself. Her military career stretched over 24 years, and as a Combat Veteran, she retired in 2006, having honorably served our country in multiple international Conflicts.

All The Pressures of Life
Will Either Make Diamonds or Dust!!!!
I always knew God created me for a life greater than what I was living, but I had no idea what it was. I did not realize that God had already chosen me. He was just waiting for me to seek Him with all my heart.
Above all, I give thanks to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever write a book. I was compelled to write this book because there are a lot of professional women out there who are either seeking to be in a relationship or currently in a relationship who are in need of me sharing this knowledge that I have gained. Without a test, there could be no testimony. I used to have a hard time relating to people’s testimonies in church because I never struggled with any addictions or vices. I forgave pretty easily, so I did not struggle with holding grudges. I was raised by two great parents that gave me unconditional love, so I did not struggle with the issues of fatherlessness or poverty. So, despite twenty-four years of military service, raising three kids, and deploying to multiple wars, I often felt like I did not have much of a struggle to share. Be careful what you ask for because my God is truly a provider. I just praise God that struggles don’t last always.
Lord, I thank you for…
My Protection/ My Direction/ My Correction
Next, I want to thank the best kids ever. I honestly used to thank God when they were younger for low-maintenance kids.
Adrian, my Lady and eldest of the bunch. My Rock when I had to work or deploy. As my lil Lady, I know you grew up with a lot on your shoulders, refereeing the other two and keeping things together while I was away. I deeply appreciated you then because I would not have been able to accomplish the things I did without the support, and I truly appreciate the woman you are now with your own family. Your strength and your loving heart show in your kids. I love you to the moon and back a few times.
Ivory, my BabyGirl and most stubborn (you got it from me honestly, but I did not mean to pass that on) of the bunch. My Second Rock in charge. I truly appreciate all you did throughout this journey, keeping all the balls in the air and kicking any under the couch that may have hit the ground after you diverted my attention elsewhere. My skydiving buddy. I appreciate the woman and businesswoman you are. I love you to the moon and back a few times.
Earnest III, my Sonshine, and baby of the bunch. I have to thank you for all the laughter that was around here. I know you often felt out-estrogened with three females in the house, but you survived it by harassing your sisters so they would either chase you or throw something at you, which would start another round of laughing as Ivory chased you up and down the stairs. I truly appreciate the man you are, and I love you to the moon and back a few times.
To my sisters Geri, Phyllis, Kathy, Brenda, Cynthia and Vickie. You have loved me and supported me throughout my entire life. I could not begin to express the depth of my gratitude and deepest appreciation for all you have done. There would not have been a military career without your support and opening your homes and your hearts to my children during school breaks, summers, and deployments. I am so proud to be one of those Johnson Girls,
and I’m looking forward to continued family trips. I deeply love and appreciate each and every one of you.
And last but by no means least…
Dad and Mom, I love you with every fiber of my being, and I miss you both so very much. I know you are in Heaven laughing and cracking jokes with each other, or Momma is telling one of her military stories as she marches around Heaven or doing some sort of community service somewhere. Dad, you never got a chance to see me fly, but I am happy you got a chance to spend time with your granddaughter, Adrian. Dad and Mom, I thank you for the moral and family values you taught us. I thank you for the love you two shared and gave to your daughters. I thank you for introducing me to a Man named Jesus. Dad, I thank you for showing me the character of a husband, you always operated with love and integrity, and I appreciate that example. Continue to Rest.
