‘The trip conÿrmed what I already knew – I loved Jeff’

CHARLOTTE WARD, 40, is a freelance journalist and author who moved across the world to settle with her husband Jeff in South Carolina, USA.

“Staring out of the bus window, I felt tears welling. I’d lived in the same place for seven years, and although I was doing well professionally, the same could not be said of my personal life.
