I Francis

I Francis am a heretic. I was born and raised in the Roman Catholic Church. I was baptized in the church, made my confessions and taken communion and was confirmed as a member of the church. I have brought others into the church s well; as any good catholic should strive to do.

Why am I a heretic? I don’t believe the bible (or any of the Abrahamic texts) is the literal word of god. It doesn’t seem like a big deal, but it’s enough to be frowned on by the most devout Catholics. Anything man can put to paper is open to misinterpretations and corruption. Historically man has misinterpreted and corrupted not only the bible, but many religious and secular texts to suit their needs (be it for better or worse).

The bible (and the other Abrahamic texts) along with organized religion is one giant command and control structure. The system is designed to look away from the individual and to focus all energy on god. Does god need to be fed? It seems like that though doesn’t it? Give all your energy all to me kind of feel. These are my opinions; these opinions make me a heretic, a blasphemer.
