    With this guidebook I set out to describe the customer component of the digital marketing ecosystem. Getting a handle on digital marketing is a no brainer for the traditional marketer as all marketing today have gone digital. Digital enjoys economies of scale and have come to stay. Keeping all marketing digital is what now forms the competitive edge of today’s enterprise as digital resources have been profusely delivered to make this happen, from VOIP calls with whatsapp to cloud services with Amazon AWS, today’s enterprise does not have to devote large budgets to marketing as before. The resources are out there to make marketing pay and yield much more with digital marketing.

    This guidebook is in two parts with three chapters each: The first part describes the customer being the attraction of a digital marketing initiative; the second describes customer digital outreach strategy that establishes communication with customers through phone calls, emails, and meetings.

    Chapter one describes the scoping and seeking of appropriate customer profiles to reach determined enterprise opportunities through profiling and prospecting, chapter two manages customer flow into the enterprise marketing channels; and chapter three describes the nitty gritty of customer record warehousing. All three chapters of part 1 focus on understanding deeply the customer and how to profile the opportunities they represent for digital only marketing opportunities.

    In part two, customer outreach is simplified, chapter 4 describes customer contact integration recommending the right contacts to acquire for better interface with the customer. Chapter 5 describes the process of scheduling appointments with the customer. While chapter 6 describes consumer behaviour perception in a digital marketplace.
