    This episode is dedicated to my dearest mother who first introduced me to the wonderful poems by Rumi.

    Rumi has written about 72,000 verses of poetry in two books, the Mathnavi and the Divane -Shams.  The first poem he wrote is a 34 verse in Mathnavi in which he defines the theme of his poetry.  As he begins speaking, he is telling the story of the reed or the story of separation.
