Preface
Dear reader, I bid you welcome.
In this book you´ll find dozens of different texts. I intended most of them to become songs but as it turned out I´m not talented enough when it comes to writing music. So if you happen to be a musician and would like to write the music to one of my texts: Contact me at: Frederik.Egger@gmail.com
All of these texts are in one way or another autobiographic and deeply personal.
In the case of the different versions of Shadow Weaver
it´s the story about Draven who used to be my best friend for ten years in a relationship
that can only be called emotionally abusive
. What made things worse was that I fell in love with him, I am gay and he´s not. The whole story is long and complicated so I´ll end this preface with a quote from my most favourite novel The Never Ending Story
– by Michael Ende*: …but that´s another story for another time…
* Some of the texts in this book are inspired by that novel
Darkness Embrace
The city is asleep,
I wake as you slumber deep.
The shadows in my blood,
Feel them singing in my veins.
This is my time,
This is my place,
Darkness is a warm embrace.
Night wind sings my song,
Demons of fright will sing along.
The Moon is in the sky,
I know that my time is nigh.
The sorrows of the day,
Feel them slowly fall away.
This is my time,
This is my place,
Darkness is a warm embrace.
Night wind sings my song,
Demons of fright will sing along.
This darkness is my friend,
I wish it would never end.
This power that I feel,
My dark longings turning real.
Enemies beware,
Come and fight me if you dare,
Fear the spells I cast,
I weave you a prison which will last.
I'll trap you outside of time,
Outside of gain,
For your treason I owe you pain.
This is my time,
This is my place,
Darkness is a warm embrace.
Night wind sings my song,
Demons of fright will sing along.
To you now this I give,
Thus is the hell that I live.
Because of what you did to me,
I will never set you free.
My wings carry me into the sky,
Bow to me and cry,
As you suffer for your lie.
I fill your dreams with fright,
I AM the demon of the night.
I fill your dreams with fright,
I AM the demon of the night.
This is my time,
This is my place,
Darkness is a warm embrace.
Night wind sings my song,
Demons of fright will sing along.
Where are the dreamers
About this text: I love lyrics that contain parts in multiple languages. What you´re going to read now basically repeats the English parts in Japanese and German.
Every change, every invention
In this world begins with a dream.
It takes courage to make it real.
Who will change this world of tears
And lies? Where is
