Farhanul Ain Nawaz, born and raised in Kolkata, India, he did his schooling in the City of Joy and then went on to do his Engineering in Karnataka, India. He was bitten by the writing bug long ago but only as a hobby. It is not until recently that he has decided to fully commit to his creative ideas and wants the characters that are inside his head to be revealed to the rest of the world.

The falling start is a collection of shorts and poems I wrote during my college days. It is not exactly happy and gratifying read because I really wasn't in a good place in life back then but the writing did help me cope with what I was going through.

Author’s note: This is, according to me, the first poem I had ever written when I was studying in class 10 in Kolkata. My cousin brother liked this girl, he proposed and was rejected. I, my brother and another friend of ours were all upset that night I remember the day well 18th February 1998. I wrote this poem that night. Not one of my best works but really something for that time and age. I can't sit back and laugh thinking about it. The original sheet I wrote on was lost long ago but thank God I had a copy.
O, Cupid why did your arrow pierce my heart,
Without killing me like a poisonous dart,
Your arrow had made me a soft, a very gentle person,
It had filled my heart with love and what well had it done.
I got lost in her eyes whenever she stared at me,
She loved me, I thought, that was what I could see.
