    Poems and Lyrics

    Poems and Lyrics

    By Candice Wozniak

    Authors Note

Herein is a collection of my poetry between 2002 and 2014. Some of it has been slightly edited over the years, as is within my right as a poet.

Come Home is directly influenced by The Voyage of the DawnTreader, from C. S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia series.

A Henchmans Ballad was inspired directly by Adult Swim's The Venture Bros. Cartoon.

    Lament of Humanity

    Tomorrow sings,

as the days past have sung,

and the days to come shall sing.

    Sing for you,

    sing for me,

singing the lament of a joyous despair

    for all to hear.

    And the present sings,

    as the history sang,

and that which is unwritten shall sing.

    So join the choir,

    sing forever,

    for the lament of humanity.

    Wonderland

So cold in a winter wonderland.

Out in the snow, snow like sand.

But sand won't melt, except into glass.

Snow turns to water, water helps the grass.

So winter is good, but rain is better.

Because in the rain you won't freeze...

So I love the warm weather!

Love is Forever, Like a Diamond

    I thought and thought on what to give you;

    nothing special came to mind.

    Then I realized,

    because I
