About this ebook

I wrote this book to all the lovers who struggle with stereotypes and social pressure while managing their relationships. The book describes the times I had desired and cherished love. Read these words, bask in my joy, wallow my pain, and let my feelings connect with your own. Allow these poems to reach into your heart, to dive into your soul, and bring out the same hidden desires and feelings that I express through my words. Let my imagery and words be able to create the pictures of my experiences in your mind, of my encounters with love.

Secret Kisses Salty Tears - Jason Nino

Popular Poem from my Previous Book

    Journey of a Whispering Heart

    You’ve left

    I was -

    always wanting

    to feel your touch,

like the way the clouds touch the stars,

    wanting to know your voice,

like the rustling wind knows the sound of the trees,

    wanting to know you,

like the way a bird knows the shape of the sky.

    We’d talk for hours,

    and we’d take those hours

And add countless seconds to them.

    It was a conversation

    that never wanted to end.

You were the smell of maple honey on a chocolate donut,

And the sound of powerful waves striking the rocky coastline.

You tasted like a freshly picked strawberry covered in whip cream,

And felt like the smooth cover of a paperback dictionary.

I remember the way the sun magically hit your skin.

I remember the chestnut wood of your hair.

I remember the way your voice caused the stars to rise.

I remember how your eyes traveled into my own searching for a home.

    On a murky cloudy day,

You always used to make my cheeks rise.

You always used to carry my worries on your back.

You always used to be the one who caused me to laugh.

    You always used to -

I remember the day you read me the words written on the tombstone of my heart.

I remember the day you took off that circular, iron mask you had been wearing in vain.

I remember the day you showed me a bleak gray world decorated with hypocrisy.

I remember the day when I felt your frosty insecure hands gripped tightly upon my own. -

I remember the day you changed. -

    Visitor From the Past

I never expected to see you

Like I never expect to see a gray dolphin with red feathers on its side.

You came though, with your wavy hair,

The color of a tree’s bark.

Our past lives never really coincided.

    We knew of the other,

Gliding up and down on the same green football field

With pieces of golden brass in our hands and on our shoulders,

In a brigade wearing the same black and gold colors.

We met at the factory of pastries and cheesecakes

Eating our meals and reminiscing of the times that were

    And speaking of what is.

    Never once did
