About this ebook
The second collection of poetry by Aria Cusano. A selection from the master collection written between 2013 and 2015. This two year period captures the metamorphosis of the poets writing style, and their personal growth. From moving past old flames, coming to terms with ones own worth, and watching the world around them. In these poems you will travel down the cobblestone streets of NYC in a drunken frenzy, walk down to the corner of Hollywood & Vine looking over your shoulder in fear of an old love, and wonder what is with the unknown Mass that is sitting next to you on the bed playing chess with chunks of your mind. A poetic introspective leading you along the journey of the poet through the last few years of their life. An ode to growing up and moving on.
Aria Cusano
Aria Cusano a NYC born creative individual currently based in LA. Dabbling in the arts from modeling, dance, and fine art, she enjoys spending time creating and translating the feelings and day dreams that galavant across her mind into beautiful works. In addition to poetry she writes lyrics, short stories, and is currently working on her two novel length series. The first book of the first series is finished and undergoing editing and minor rewrites. Her second novel series is on hold until this process is done. Her first poetry book was published in the winter of 2013. Her second poetry book was published in the summer of 2015. Her first full length novel series will be published in 2016. She enjoys spending time listening to music while she writes, sampling fine whiskey. You can often spot her on walks through Central Park in the fall followed by wandering the museums and Public Library. Or perhaps reading while drinking gin and tonics or absinthe in the corner of whatever speakeasy she can find.

Write.
I need to write.
I haven’t written anything in what seems like ages.
Oh I scribbled little things in a notebook.
But really write…
No I been much to silent.
Typically I’d have a muse,
That poisonous man in a pinstriped suit,
The man-child with the killer smile,
Or even the scrawling on a subway wall.
But with you, my words seem muted.
My mind isn’t thinking.
I was on autopilot.
I keep trying to create something worthwhile.
But I am mute.
I can’t invoke anger, or fear, or love.
I’m a very strange place when I think of you.
So I need to write.
Cause I can’t seem to get my mind to speak.
Poem
What’s a poem for?
Expressing love and anger
Fear and loathing
Sadness and nothings.
I keep writing them and I am no closer to understanding.
I’ve got a suitcase full of
