    The New Boy

Kara has been looking forward to Monday. They are getting a new boy in their class. His name is Niklas, and he comes from another school in their city.

When Kara steps into the classroom with Rose and Julie, he is already there. He is talking to Hamid, and he does not seem shy at all.

He looks really nice, Rose whispers to Kara and Julie.

    And cute, Julie giggles.

Kara nods and glances at Niklas. He is taller than Julie. His hair is blonde and spiky, and he smiles all the time.

When the class starts, Mette asks him to come to the blackboard.

This is Niklas, the new boy, she says. Welcome.

Niklas smiles even more and waves at the class, then he tells them about himself.

I play football in my spare time, he says.

Kara nods. She likes that Niklas does not seem nervous. She is not nervous to talk to him either, and she is just about to smile at him.

He is going to be popular, Julie
