    Freja, the Horse

    School is over for the day.

    Kara walks with Rose to the club. Julie is not going to the club today, because she would rather go to the riding school.

    Julie’s cousin just got a horse, Rose says. That is why she is not going to the club today.

    Kara nods. She has met Julie’s cousin once. She is sixteen years old and her name is Camilla. She looks very grown up.

    At the club, Rose and Kara go to the sewing room. They are sewing two identical scarves, and Kara thinks it would be cool if Julie sewed one too. Then, they would look like best friends forever.

    Julie sends her a picture of a brown horse.

    "This is Freja. Isn’t she cute? She writes. Why don’t you come see her?"

    That is so cute, Kara says and shows the picture to Rose.

    Rose shrugs and keeps on
