    Fried Chicken

    Ingredients

    1/4 cup honey mustard

    1/4 cup sweet chili sauce

    1 egg, beaten

    1 pinch sea salt to taste

    6 chicken drumsticks

    2 cups panko bread crumbs

    2 cups vegetable oil for frying

    Directions

    Step 1: In a bowl, combine the honey mustard, sea salt, egg, and chili sauce and whisk together. Pour the marinade our chicken drumsticks in a large, sealable plastic bag and seal the bag. Store in the fridge for a minimum of 4 hours.

    Step 2: Heat the oven to 350 Fahrenheit (175 Celsius).

    Step 3: Add the bread crumbs in a wide dish, dredge the marinated chicken in the bread crumbs to coat. In a large, deep skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Gradually place the chicken into the hot oil and fry for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown, turning once if needed to get even coloring, drain the chicken on a baking sheet.

    Step 4: Bake the chicken in the oven for about 30 minutes until no longer pink at the bone and the liquid run clear. An instant-read thermometer inserted near the bone reaches 165 Fahrenheit (74 Celsius).
