Author Forward and Dedication
I dedicate Anika’s Story to everyone that has experienced any type of physical, mental, or emotional abuse at any time in their lives. To those who’ve felt alone in this world, consumed by their pain, and contemplated taking their own lives, I urge you to talk to someone that you can trust so you do not keep this misery bottled up inside of you. Remember, what happened to you is not your fault. Allow God to begin to heal your heart from all the pain you are feeling. Free yourself by getting the help you need and by seeking forgiveness for your abuser and, even yourself, for holding inside hatred for situations beyond your control.
I pray that as you read Anika’s Story, you’ll gain the strength to be able to share your story. And finally, allow your heart to be open to receive peace and healing.
Acknowledgments
First, I give God all the honor and glory for placing it on my heart to write this story. Without Him, none of this would be possible.
To my family and friends who continue to love,
