Love, Lust, Loved Laughter, Lessons: What The "L" Do You Know?
()
About this ebook
I would suggest the way to read this book is to identify your feelings and find a corresponding poem that exhibits similar thoughts to assist you in going through your own feelings of Love, Lust or Loved relationships continuing also with the Laughter and Lessons chapters. Prayerfully, I hope you will learn the lessons on a deep and existing level. Perhaps you will not reserve the need or desire to experience the lesson if you read and understand the reasoning that led me to the written conclusions illustrated in these chapters.

WELCOME to this book of Poetry: Love, Lust, Loved, Laughter and Lessons. It is my fervent hope and prayer that you will find some interesting ideas in these poems and perhaps learn some life lessons in reading the rhyming poetry that has been more than a two decade adventure for me. Most all poems have been experienced by me in actual relationships or in deep emotional thoughts on events and experiences in life.
I started with the inclination of naming this book: "What the L
do you know? Of course referring to the beginning letter of each chapter and recalls an old crude statement known as [What the hell
do you know?] On some level this appeals to the fun loving side of me as a fun loving story and joke teller.
You may ask what are my qualifications to write these poems and to present them to you, the reader, as lessons and funny experiences from which you may learn life lessons. I believe age doesn’t qualify anyone for anything other than aching joints, unstable bowel movements, loss of friends, loves and probably unmet needs and dreams.
But on the other hand what such great memories, exciting experiences and valuable lessons that have been learned in costly, hard learned adventures and mistakes over my seven decades of life.
As a very spiritual and religious follower of Jesus Christ I have read many of the great spiritual leaders of the past two thousand years. I developed a personal philosophy concerning my earthly existence. I feel and think that as a heavenly tiny spiritual being having the ability to view the entire past as well as the future from heaven and knowing full well all the trials and task I would need to contend with in my earthly human existence. I chose my own parents, I fully knew what I would be asked to endure, to face and what trials I’d contend with daily throughout my life. What makes me a success is that I’ve met all of those challenges with at least a fair attitude and appreciation for the experience and the lessons learned. Hopefully I have been able to do this with a tongue in cheek manner of happiness and joy. For a more complete understanding perhaps you’d better understand me and my journey if you take a brief look at my attached biography and the life experiences paper titled, I know this man:
.
Again my hope is that you will learn and grow, as have I. Most importantly to use a quote from Dr. Wayne Dyer Don’t die with your music inside you

A Jilted Lovers Lament
Do you ever think of me?
How am I doing, where I may be?
Do you ever sit and ponder?
Of how we may have grown, ever wonder?
Remember our dreams and new aspirations?
Did I continue to conquer after our separation?
For a moment does your heart pang in grief?
Knowing we will never meet, not even brief?
In your sad times do you for a second ever wish of me?
To provide you a safe place to rest, to just be?
Do you long for my gentle sensuous touch
As I long and miss you so very much?
In the dark stormy and lonely nights
Do you fear you lost the one
in fright?
Do you now smile and lust after another
After the fun and excitement with me as your lover?
And when with another not so proficient a lover
Do you crave to be with me under the covers?
I want you to know I am the jilted lover
For you I long as anyone could ever longs for another.

A kiss of your lips
Since the first awkward stolen kiss
Rushed, missed and in mid-sentence.
I have longed for your deep passionate kiss
Lingering, intimate and way pass just friendship
.
The kiss that ignites the flames of youthful lovers
Soft, sensuous, deep, engulfing almost smothering.
The kiss of passion, knowing where it leads, that takes our breath away.
As when we realize the unfolding, the surprised ending of a mystery play.
To visualize and to know the outcome of a single passionate kiss
That sensual, visual, energized engagement leading to love making bliss.
To experience, the essence, the wonderment of your love.
Touching, tasting, teasing, tantalizing, you trembling like a baby dove.
Savoring the moment of our rapture, we’re united, becoming one.
Experiencing the escalating expectancy of the passion to come.
Eventually to lay in a satisfied sleepy slumber
Content in the arms of each other, our lover.
Feeling alive, loved, linked together in ever positive emotion.
Our hearts swollen and raging in hopeful commotions.
Full of the connectedness of another loving human being.
Completing the circle of life like the yin and yang mandarin.
Have the stars of our birth led us to this final relationship?
Were the stars aligned eons ago in our cosmic consciousness?
What ever the reason, the stars, the spirits, the chances that be.
I praise them for bringing me to you and you to me.
I now accept the challenge to see where this will lead
Open, truthful, no baggage to claim, I plead.
Be gentle with my heart, it’s been bruised, battered, skinned, torn and more
Let me know as soon as you know if we are a go or no more.
I am but a simple man
But I will do all that I can.
To love, honor, support and cherish in every way.
Until death or you tell me to please go away.
richard mcpherson
A special light
Did I know you in another world
A timeless point in space?
Perhaps as a previous friend, relative, a spirited other,
From such a very special place.
To arrive here, seeing you, my heart in a flutter
Wanting only to plead my case.
My case for having, wanting to love another
Excitement written all over my face.
Ageless connection, pheromones ignited, I shutter
Losing track, boyish in your presence, this place.
Try to speak whimsically, knowing, but yet I stammer and stutter
Confused, a lost but remembered connection to you, your face.
I see in you a special light, causing my soul to flutter
Reminding me of the heavenly light of an Angels face.
I’ve emerged into your light, shedding night’s cover
I stand heart exposed, with you, face to face.
richard mcpherson
A vision of innocence
The vision lingers softly in my mind
Of a gentler perfect innocence that shines.
The vision of a young human spirit as it grows
Coming to life revealing and showing, truly God knows.
Namasta
, celebrates the growing god-like within,
The beauty, freshness of a heavenly spirit as it becomes human.
The innocence that shines and sparkles in hair and eyes.
The trust and love that emanates, as simply as a sigh.
From the innocents of a youthful girl like stance.
To the lifting of a garment hem to hide from as adult’s glance
Baring all beneath that certainly makes an adult wince
In their stoic, over calloused, total self-embarrassment.
The beauty of the loving well adjusted innocence of this child
Ignites deep in us wishes and longings we’ve not had in a while.
To again, for an instant, be at one with this god-like spirit
Is to touch the face, to be in the grace of God’s own spirit.
Enjoying the unconditional trusting love of a precious child.
Is magnified glory to God as seen in a child’s smile.
Coming un-abandoned to sit precariously on my knee
This innocence, to share, touch and be, also heals me.
richard mcpherson
Anticipation
Anticipation down deep in my anxious soul
Wanting someone to share my life, whole.
Excited to again think of feelings in terms of together
In a loving long lasting relationship forever.
I’m cautioning myself to go slow
Although I know I want to be bold.
Burst forth; overwhelm her, with all my potential
But again I say, slowly, keep it low key and simple.
All these years of trying to improve myself, become better.
Being the best I can be, going forward, hopefully better forever.
Read the self help books and all about interpersonal skills
In hopes and anticipation of being what you need and to fulfill your will.
Worried, as time speeds by in my aging process,
That time will also diminish my sexual prowess.
I want my friend, lover, wife to be totally satisfied
Not having to rely on me to tell her how it use to be, so fine.
So, I’m told time
