PREVIEW:
“I can’t believe this!” I pounded my fist against the steering wheel as I saw the red and blue lights flashing in my mirror.
The siren chirped, confirming it was me they were after.
“This is ridiculous!” I pulled my car off the road and stopped in front of a vacant lot.
I threw it in park and reached for my wallet.
“Stop moving!” I heard on a loud speaker.
I put my hands up, in the car. The voice sounded feminine.
“Don’t move!” I heard over the loud speaker.
I followed instructions. The last thing I wanted to do was make a cop mad.
I waited. I squirmed in my seat. Can’t we just get this over with. I’ll take my ticket now and be on my way.
I watched traffic pass by. I hoped no one I knew saw me. It would be so embarrassing to walk into the office and hear everyone joke about how I got pulled over. I hated that attitude in my office. Bunch of busy-body dweebs all up in everyone’s business.
I glanced in the mirror again and my eyes nearly popped out of my head. The cop wasn’t anything like I expected. I was imagining a big, burly woman with short hair, and a couple of tattoos on each forearm.
What I saw was a slim figure, with some nice curves under that dark uniform and a slick blonde ponytail. I watched in the mirror as she walked confidently, but cautiously toward my car. The closer she got, the hotter she got. I looked down to make sure my shirt wasn’t stained. All good. When I looked back up she was at my window.
I gazed into her green eyes. Her face was pretty, it looked fresh, with very little makeup. She looked young, mid-twenties or younger, too young to be a cop.
“Hello,” I said with a slight smile.
“Hello sir, you can relax now, I just get a little worried when I see people go grabbing around in their cars.”
I put my hands down. I honestly was so distracted that I didn’t realize I was still holding them up.
“That’s understandable,” I said. “I wasn’t thinking about that.”
“No big deal,” she said. “I’m Officer Summers with the Hampton Hills PD. I pulled you over because you rolled through that stop sign back on Trail Brook Road.”
“I’m sorry, Officer. To be honest, I’m late for work, in a big hurry. I was being foolish.”
“You certainly were,” Officer Summers cocked a hip to the side. Her lips were in a tight line.
“But I won’t do it again,” I said with a smile.
“I bet,” Summers said coolly. “License please?”
I dug into my pocket and pulled it out.
She looked at it. “This is you?”
“Yes ma’am.”
“You were born in 1964?”
“Yes ma’am.”
“How old are you?”
“Fifty-five.”
“I’ll be right back. Sit tight.”
“Yes ma’am.”
I watched Officer Summers walk back to her police cruiser in my mirror. She had a tight little ass underneath that heavy utility belt.
Running a stop sign, that wasn’t that big a deal, just a ticket. I could deal with that. I looked at my watch, I wouldn’t even be late. Although, I wouldn’t mind spending more time with Officer Summers, if she made me late I wouldn’t mind.
The door opened on the police cruiser and Officer Summers walked back to my window. I watched her the whole way.
“Mr. Bryson, I’m gonna need you to step out of the car.”
“Out of the car?” my stomach dropped.
“Sir, are you resisting?”
“No, no ma’am,” I opened the door and stepped out.
Officer Summers looked down, her expression was funny.
I looked down and saw a big boner tenting my pants. Of all the times and places.
“Sorry,” I muttered.
“Go back to my car,” Summers said.
She follo
