I’ve still been struggling with that damn groin pull that happened a few weeks back. It’s getting better to be sure but at the same time it’s not where it should be. Having got all caught up in the pleasure of the doctor’s flesh, I forgot to ask her about the treatment for a groin injury.

So I’ve been busy on the Internet finding my own treatment protocol. Basically, they’re telling me to give it a rest. That’s what I’ve been doing, but I’ve been having a helluva time doing that. I’m an active guy and it’s driving me crazy not being able to get out and play squash.

So what I’ve been doing is getting on my bike and going for long one to two hour rides. At least that’s long for me. Bike seats end up numbing my prostate after a couple of hours and I’ve read that long term bike riding as in what the professionals do can actually end up creating permanent numbing or damage to the prostate and a man’s erection. Not what I want to do. I need my super powers intact.

Now I’m not saying that happens to every pro cyclist who has a long career but why would you want to stack the deck against you?

We have some great bike paths here in my city and especially around the neighborhood I live in. Down in the valley we have some of the most beautiful paved and unpaved trails for both bikes and pedestrians. Some of my favorite runs are down in the river valley.
