The Electric Handshake - Donna G. Kelley

    INTRODUCTION

It had all started with a series of pricey dental procedures and a series of costly car repairs. From then on, Destiny’s finances and life had sped south.

    1 THE DREAM

Last Sunday’s song kept running through Destiny’s mind as she awoke in a spiritual shaking at 2:45 a.m. Satan tried to convince her that she was causing it. Although she stopped herself, the shaking started again on its own. Hands clenched and unclenched at a fast tempo.

While under the Anointing, Destiny felt led to pray for various people and for some matters that were important to her. The experience lasted a half hour. She believed that her prayer would render some important results.

Falling back to sleep, Destiny dreamed about a little old woman on her former church grounds. The woman said that she had something to tell Destiny about a blessing that would come into her life. Okay, but who are you?  Destiny queried.

That doesn’t matter, the woman replied.   Hence, Destiny knew that the woman was an angel sent from the Lord. Trusting the prophetic message meant that she would be obeying God.

Perhaps there was a quiet place on the second floor to talk to the woman. The room that Destiny had in mind was noisy. She did not want the people to hear her personal message. Since a number of people milled around outside, Destiny decided to use the less-than-perfect room upstairs.

As Destiny prepared to enter the side door, she came upon two terrorists. They held guns that released gas fumes when they pulled the trigger. Fear gripped Destiny but she pleaded the Blood of Jesus on herself. She sensed that the men expected Destiny to look at them with a panic-stricken face.

A spiritual wall of protection around Destiny kept the men from accomplishing any harm. She had greatly admired Pastor Clay for being able to control his bad dreams through the Holy Spirit. Now Destiny could control her dreams, too. Instead of having to wake up screaming, she thought of it as a pleasant dream because of her newly-found control.

    2 SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCES

During worship time at home, Destiny raised her arms in praise. They began to feel heavy. A force turned her arms outward, and a magnetic field drew them together in one clap. Did I do that or was it the Lord? Destiny thought.

While fasting and praying, Destiny’s arms were lifted by the Spirit and tongues noises pushed out of her throat. Her voice had variations of inflection. For the first time, she felt the Spirit in her toes.

Although Destiny tried to keep her arms apart, they came together into handclaps. This happened several times whereupon Destiny felt positive that it was the Holy Spirit. It made her laugh out loud. Jesus, I am clapping for You, Destiny thought. I feel the joy of the Lord.

During prayer time at home, Destiny had a spiritual experience in which she started to sing notes that did not belong to any song that she knew. The Holy Spirit led her to sing the musical scale. Later, Destiny received the interpretation that she would be able to play songs in more than one key. It was a cute vision, she thought.

The Holy Spirit burned on Destiny to practice How Great Thou Art. When she played it, her spirit leaped. She felt as though a manifestation could happen on the day that she would sing it.

Before she went to bed that night, Destiny felt the Anointing. She tried to speak in tongues. It seemed to come in a song with a Spirit-filled voice and watering eyes. Quickly, she wrote the words and melody.

One sentence ended in Deo as in Excelsius Deo. Notes formed a tune with strange sounds that formed into I Will Rely on the Lord. Maybe it was singing in tongues and receiving the interpretation.

Deep crying occurred during prayer. She fell slain in
