The Wounded Flower
()
About this ebook
I found a wounded
flower while wandering
far back roads
Battered, bruised and
bleeding from life's
uncaring goads.
Though tattered, torn
and wilted, she offers
beauty still.
Sweet odor of
enlightenment, she gives
of her great will.
Richard Higley
Richard Higley hated poetry until he wrote his first poem at the age of 58. He is a blue collar laborer who makes his home cross the Wabash River from Purdue University in Lafayette Indiana. Married more than 40 years, he is the head of a large family and the first branch of an even larger one. He has fathered seven children and is the proud grandfather of more than twenty. He is deeply spiritual, loves family and is still waiting to feel grown up.
