INTRODUCTION
Where do I start from the beginning at the age of 5 went to school the first day was frightening I can remember all the toys and the sand pit and all the colour crayons look great to me.
The first few weeks I made a lot of friends settled in nice then the teacher started teaching us to read are name by the name tags in the cloak room.
Then before I got use to reading my name I was struck down with an illness.
This kept me away from school all that first year.
My parents work hard working class not knowing where the money coming from to pay the bills or feed the family.
Then I recovered from the illness and went back to school in another year.
At that time classrooms was full 40 kids to a class I remember I was the only kid who could not read and find my name tag in the cloak room to cut a long story short I went through all my primary school not been able to read or write.
Middle school the kids got bigger and the lessons got tougher. I said the kids got bigger not me I was small and skinny for my ages.
A new teacher wanted to know how good we were at spelling giving the class a spelling test 20 words most of the kids did well we had to stand up in front of the class and tell how many marks we got correct out of 20. Then it was my turn nervous shy frighten standing there in front of the class I had to mention my marks which I replied with my head down in a quiet voice zero out of 20
.
Which the teacher replied speak up boy we can’t hear you
shouting zero out of 20 sir
All the kids laughed you can imagine the name calling I received dummy, thick then after that day my school days was a night mare I got bullied the teachers had no time for me as well.
I hated play time because I just got kick punch and my books throw all over the playground.
This big kid started bulling me he kick and pushed me down on the floor I remember I just got up and move forward to him and he would push me down again at a very early age I had this inner strength to keep getting up and not give up in the end it was him who gave in and started to cry.
You think at this point I would rebel on the outside I was calm not showing my feels but on the inside I was in pain angry at myself letting this happen feeling strong and determined to change.
I use to stand in
