Disclaimer
This book is not and should not be considered mental health advice. I am not a mental health professional. In this book, the recurring theme is to live for yourself, but please be smart with your decisions. I am not responsible for any losses that may occur if you decide to quit your job, move across the country, and ghost all of your friends.
I’m a firm believer in doing you, but also having a plan. In fact, that is what this book is all about. Doing you, with a plan.

Introduction
Reader, I want to start this connection with complete honesty, and the honest truth is I never in a million years would have thought I would be here writing a book telling you how to find your purpose. Mainly because I thought I would never figure out what my purpose was.
See the thing is, I’ve spent the last year trying to figure out what my purpose is. I’ve tried praying, fasting, meditating, texting everyone in my contacts what they think I’m good at, asking tarot and oracle cards, doing deep dives in astrology, venting to my therapist, taking career quizzes, crying to my wife, and asking myself all the thought-provoking questions that should lead me to my purpose and yet nothing felt like me.
Part of the reason nothing felt like me is because I have Borderline Personality Disorder and one of the symptoms is having no real sense of identity. Because of that, I tend to give up on things quickly because they no longer align with who I am as a person. Therefore, trying to nail down something I thought I should be doing for the rest of my life felt nearly impossible to me.
The other reason nothing felt like it was for me is because I was forcing God to give me an answer on my time, so of course, everything I thought of was a bust.
Looking around, it seemed like everyone had it together. I would watch people on social media announce their new job roles and feel envious that they were doing something so aligned with who they were as a person. I was jealous of everyone living their best life and looking like they had it all together while I was struggling day by day trying to figure out what to do with my life.
Does that sound like you right now?
You feel like you have done just about everything under the sun but you haven’t been able to pinpoint what your purpose in life is.
You have this undeniable feeling that you are meant for more but you don’t know what it is or you don’t know how to start.
You know that you can’t continue to live another day like you have been living and need to change things up.
You are not alone.
I used to be the same way as well. I thought that being an entrepreneur would be the answer to all of my problems, but entrepreneurship actually created more questions than answers.
As I started my purpose journey, I realized being a business coach was a false purpose for me (We’ll dive deep into this in a later chapter).
Because I grew up in a family where you either got a degree and/or started a business, I felt like I had found my footing with working as a business & marketing coach. I mean I was helping people and got to be creative, which is what I always wanted, right?
And that’s exactly why I call it a false purpose. It checks all the boxes except the most important box, actually being my purpose.
After a lot of crying, soul-searching, patience, and uncomfortable situations, I did figure out my purpose and found the courage to live my life out loud.
That led me to write this book and start a new chapter of my life: helping people step into their purpose and live their most authentic and happy lives.
I know I’m not the only one who struggles with figuring out what the hell I want to do with my life, so I wanted to write a handbook to help people who have also tried almost everything under the sun and haven’t found any luck.
But I wanted this to be different than any self-help book you read.
Self-help books can make you feel bad about yourself. They can make you feel like you aren’t using your 24 hours of the day wisely. They can make you feel like everything that is going wrong in your life is simply a mindset issue and once you change your mind, you change your life. *Eye-roll*
That is not what this book is. I know you’re not lazy, unmotivated, or the root behind all of your issues. Some of the reasons are mental health, lack of time and energy, or just not knowing what to do. We call those invisible and visible obstacles, which I will touch on later.
If you can’t tell already, this book has a very laid back vibe. I’m not trying to preach to you and bombard you with words and terms that you have to constantly look up. There’s no fluff, no bells and whistles, just straight up empowerment and advice to help you live the best life you can.
This book is to help those who are ready for more in their life and to give them the tools to go after their purpose despite their
