YES!
It is no accident that you are reading this book right now. It has come to you at exactly the right time. You’re ready for it and it’s ready for you! YES is a book of affirmations, but it is not just an affirmation book. It is a handy tool designed to help you change your life.
What are affirmations, you might ask? Well, per the dictionary the word affirmation is something declared to be true or a positive statement or judgment.
They are words, phrases and messages that are emphatic, positive and beneficial statements that you use or say repeatedly until they are ingrained in your being, until you feel them so deeply that you actually believe them. Just reading them can give you a natural high, even make you feel good. If nothing else, they will soften your mood and open your heart. Whether or not you understand or even believe in the use of affirmations, the concept of this book is to help you uncover your true feelings and change the way you think about yourself and your life in a positive way.
Can you really change your life by changing your thinking? YES, you can! You cannot hold two conflicting thoughts simultaneously. It’s virtually impossible. You can think, speak and feel good or not. Period. The choice is yours.
The YES Book is a synthesis of affirmations found throughout numerous books, tapes, CD’s, seminars and kind hearted donations. It also contains a compilation of our own personal feel good images and phrases, and inspiring quotations. Some will appeal to you, some will not, and some will have no meaning to you whatsoever.
One of the many things that science and psychology agree on is that thoughts are things
. We implore you to choose your thoughts carefully. If you are working on a particular challenge, for example health, go through this book, choose and write out all the affirmations pertaining to health that appeal to you. We have included some blank pages at the back of this book for you to jot down your own thoughts and affirmations. It is our desire that you use The Yes Book as a handy manual in your self-discovery process.
Although alike in many ways, each and every person is a unique individual. So take some time and uncover your uniqueness. Contemplate who and what you are. What are your desires and goals? What are your ideals? What makes you feel good? What words or songs really speak to you? What thoughts move you to feel happy? Listen to your inner feelings. You alone will unveil all your answers. This book is a simple user-friendly tool to quicken the process. These affirmations will help propel you there.
Are you ready for positive change in your life? Are you willing to change the way you think and believe about certain ideas that no longer serve you? Are you ready to discard all the BS that’s been programmed into you from day one? BS by the way is Belief System and your own personal belief system is all that really matters. Let no one tell you what to think, what to believe or what to change except you, yourself. Listen to your inner voice. That’s all there is to it. Change your thinking, change your life! Come on, try it! It’s easy, and besides, what have you got to lose?
Only Part I of this book ought to be read consecutively. Part II is random and should not be read like a novel–you’ll overdose. Peruse, scan, pick it up, put it down (pick it up again and again!). Open any page at random, you’ll find serendipitous sentences, ideas, feel good images or phrases and quotations that speak directly to you. We have intentionally kept the affirmations random; no lists or categories. As we stated previously, some of the affirmations will appeal to you and have specific meaning while some will not. Therefore, no categories.
