The Biogenic Secret of Food - Dr. Gouri Maharaj
Section One
Chapter 1
The Origin
The merging of pure consciousness and universal nature led to the formation of three nonmaterial constituents. These have been viewed as the essentials of all substances. The first is light or intelligence, the second is turbulence or motion, and the third is inertia or darkness. These three multidimensional substances are at work behind the scenes in every substance. These substances manifest in every cell (whether you believe in creation, evolution, or projection).
The great philosophers of the past postulated that the human body is composed of the five great elements.
These elements are categorized as being gaseous, etheric, radian, fluid, and solid states of matter that should always be in equilibrium. Any disruption, whether in humankind or the universe, causes disequilibrium and sets out a series of problems that can lead to chaos. These substances are thus called as follows:
Natural science has pointed out similarities between humankind and the universe. There are three main causative factors in the universe. They are energy of conversion, energy of cohesion, and energy of propulsion. Some natural sciences and spiritualists see them as sun, moon, and wind.
Optimum health is seen as the impeccable balance of all three energies in the human being. The combinations of these five great elements have led to the formation of the constituents of the human body. This human body is said to consist of three biological humors, seven tissues, and three sets of waste products. These will be discussed at length later on in a separate chapter.
Every substance occupies space (ether). They exist at certain temperature (fire). Every known living being has at least one or more element that exists in the earth (earth). Substances can be compressed, and they do not have vacuums existing in their atoms or molecules. This means that air is being displaced when these substances are compressed (air).
It is therefore highly acceptable that every substance and everything that exists and will ever exist in this universe will have these five great elements in them.
The big question is why we have these great elements in us and how they are used in our lives. I am certain that we can have billions of answers for this very question. Some could say it is to regenerate, while others may indicate that it is part of our vital origin or even suggest that life and happiness are in their simplest state. Maybe at the end of this book we can give a greater insight into this theory. Whatever the reason or reasons, we cannot run away from the fact that they do exist in our very
