About this ebook

In 2011 Mike Pestano sets out into a desert of dreams to face the biggest challenge of his life. Sick, exhausted, dissatisfied, depressed, alone, angry, lonely, yet determined to make a permanent change to save his life. Haunted by demons of his past and trapped in a sick, severely obese, diabetic, and unresponsive body that threatens to envelop his mind and consume his soul he discovers his inner warrior. With little more than the primitive instinct of survival at any cost, he retreats deep into the undiscovered chambers of his soul to heal himself.
This a story chronicling his journey to lose 107 pounds over 16 months and reverse type 2 diabetes. Using his knowledge on nutrition and fitness he creates his own natural protocols to successfully achieve his goals. During this process of discovery he also learns through two powerful mentors and teachers the true meaning of healing and becoming his true self. It reveals his innermost insecurities, flaws, and the masks he wore growing up to hide his imperfections. This is a journey deep into the heart that reveals there is strength and power in his vulnerabilities.

It is a powerful, real, raw, and authentic revealing of the innermost emotional traumas. Healing the body also involves healing the mind through the soul and rise up and be courageous. The deepest wounds are not seen through the scars of what we can see. Rather, they reside inside of us and in this book it explores the successful healing transformation from a lonely, troubled, and angry soul to one that is courageous, happy, and healthy in mind, body, and soul.
His healing encompasses physical fitness, a healthy nutrition lifestyle, and most importantly connecting, aligning, and uniting mind, body, and soul back as one. The expertise of two healers that employ Reiki, Theta, crystal healing, Lemurian healing, and other powerful healing modalities that uproot the energetic blockages are the key to true transformation. It reconnects us to the true essence of all of us as energetic beings and in his story shows the power of unconditional love, forgiveness, and gratitude.
Obesity and diabetes are reflections of and manifestations of deep emotional and unconscious traumas. He listens to both his conscience and his intuition to successfully heal and rise above daunting odds. The nutrition protocol and fitness programs work in alignment with the energy healing modalities in a cohesive and united front and the result is a transformation into his true self.
