    Not having the end in mind

    What is your ultimate goal?  What is it that you want to accomplish? Where do you see yourself two weeks from now? A month from now? Six months from now? A year from now?

    These are important questions to answer.  Going into a long-term commitment without a goal is like taking a road trip without a destination.  This is a mistake that will inevitably lead to failure.  You must challenge yourself to think about attaining your goals in the future.

    Forward thinking equals forward progress.  It is not good enough to just write your goals down, you need to constantly have them on the front of your mind. Your goals need to be in front of you to remind you of your commitment to yourself.  Nowadays, we are bombarded with many different messages throughout our day. This may be from loved ones, TV, social media, work, etc.  How many of those messages are motivating you towards your goals?

    What you focus on grows and magnifies.  Therefore, if you focus and meditate on reaching your goals, they begin to grow and magnify your desire.  Meditating on your goals allows the goals you are pursuing to seem more attainable to you.  As your desire begins to grow, self-doubt begins to shrink.

    Busy people may not have the time to meditate quietly for an extended period of time during the day.  But, finding time to take short goal-meditation breaks within your day is beneficial and empowering.  This may mean turning off the radio in your car or keeping your TV off once you get home.  Perhaps listening to an encouraging podcast, sermon, or audiobook may help you focus on your goals.

    But the main thing is keeping your thoughts on your goals.  You should display them where you can
