About this ebook
Self Development is one of the most rewarding, and also one of the hardest things we can do for ourselves. It's difficult to know where to start, and what will work, especially if there's no-one we're comfortable asking for advice. Readers sent hundreds of questions to Australian psychic and medium, Ryllandra Rose asking for her practical, down to earth psychic advice; here are her answers.

Foreword
Want to know what other people ask a psychic?
Want to know if anyone else is wondering the same thing as you about their situation?
Want to know if there's a chance for something better than, or different from, how things are now, for you?
Here I have answered, with practical advice, some of the tens of thousands of questions asked of me in one form or another, during my practice as a psychic consultant. In that time I've listened to the living ask their questions, and heard the dead tell their stories, guiding both sides toward resolution. I hope the answers may help others along the way.

On Matters of Self Development
Living in a tall shadow
My parents idolise my older brother and are constantly telling me to be more like him. I have tried my hardest for years but I despair that I will never make my parents proud. Can you please tell me if they will ever appreciate me for what I do have?
Taking all the details and Life Path Profiles into account, I can see what has happened is a most unfortunate mismatch in the style of parenting your parents use and the type of parenting you actually require. You are not a needy person, and you're not looking for pointless flattery here, I can sense you really are struggling to be seen for who you are. I can also sense how exceedingly proud your parents are of you and how much they want you to use your exceptional gifts to get the most out of life. Unfortunately, where you need honest assessment and encouragement in what you've done well, their style is to denigrate what isn't as good as it could be, and push you to keep achieving more. Instead of constantly comparing your achievements to your brothers', they should be encouraging you in your own fields of interest. Your brother has more easily recognised 'book smarts' but actually lacks a lot of the creative talents and old fashioned common sense you have. This is why he's done those stupid things you would never do. I also get the sense you're keeping your brother's secrets mainly because you don't think your parents would believe it anyway. While you could tell your parents how you feel about the constant comparisons, I don't see that path as really giving you the best long term results. Your parents are impressed with your achievements and would be horrified if they really understood how their method of motivation is hurting you. To help yourself overcome this, you'll need to find new ways to measure yourself. You've been forced into comparing yourself to your brother, and because your skill sets are so different there's no way to truly compare. What you need to do is look at what you do well and measure your skills against others in your field, for comparison. You'll hopefully recognise how talented you truly are and any negative comparisons will no longer impact you. A good example is the positive reinforcement your friends try to give you, it's honest and fair; you really are a very talented person. You currently ignore
