    The Picky-Eating, Soda-Drinking, Lazy Person’s Weight Loss Plan - D.T. Brooks

    Summary

    Introduction

Before we get started, please know that you should consult a physician before starting any diet or workout plan. Even if it is one built for lazy people.

I am not a doctor, specialist, personal trainer, or nutritional expert in any way. I am just a guy that works 40-50 hours a week who couldn’t find the right weight loss plan to fit his needs. So I researched information and built a plan that would help me lose weight. This was not an easy task since I am a picky-eating, soda-drinking, lazy person.

I never thought of myself as terribly obese, but I have always had a spare tire with no real means to get rid of it. At the beginning of this journey, my weight was fluctuating from 205 to 215 pounds.

You are now saying to yourself that’s not so bad, why are you complaining?

The extra 50-60 lbs. I carried was all around my waist. Imagine if Mr. Potato Head’s legs looked like his skinny spaghetti arms. That’s how I was built. Couple that with the fact that I have never eaten a salad in my life, and I was drinking 6-10 sodas a day. Trust me, I was the poster child for heart disease and an inactive lifestyle.

As I begin this book, I am 172 lbs. and gaining some muscle tone (for the first time ever). I’ve lost more than 30 pounds and still have a little bit to go, but I have never been happier with my health and appearance, than I am right now.

The best part of my happiness comes from still being able to eat pizza, cheeseburgers, mac and cheese, fried chicken and most everything else from my former lifestyle and still lose weight. I know it sounds too good to be true, but I am living proof.

In the past I have tried many things, but could not stick to it because every diet plan made me totally miserable. I don’t want to fast for two days a week, drink liquids for 24 hours, or spend thousands of dollars on meal plans. Plus, most plans didn’t fit into my picky-eating lifestyle.

Adkins seemed like a good idea. All the meat, eggs and cheese that I could handle was great for about 2 weeks. The first time I tried an Adkins style pizza with the low carb crust, I thought I my life was over. That was the end of my Adkins experience.

I then thought there must be a super pill out there that could make me lose pounds while eating pizza on the
