    Introduction

    Muffin tins were created for the purpose of baking muffins or cupcakes but since then creative chefs have evolved their utility into creating amazing and simple entrees appetizers and desserts that can be prepared in just a few minutes.

    The standard muffin tin holds 3.5 ounces and usually has enough space for 12 muffins, but there are variations of muffin tins that hold 6 24 or more muffins.

    Mini muffin tins hold a total of 2 and 1/8 ounces and can be used to create smaller muffins, and jumbo muffin tins hold 8 and 3/16 ounces.

    The material used to construct most muffin tins is stainless steel or aluminum, both of which are coated with Teflon non-stick coatings, as well as cast iron.

    Tins that do not have non-stick coating require the use of cooking spray in order to make those recipes.

    Many of the recipes created in muffin tins can be refrigerated or frozen and eaten again later, and some recipes like banana bread can even be stored outside of the
