It was late Sunday evening when Lucy’s cell phone rang. She and Chad were preoccupied so she let it go to voicemail.

Lucy, this is Lourdes. I have fantastic news. I’ve got a great lead on a gig for you. Here are the vitals, Lourdes rattled off the address and appointment time.

Chad was leaning up on his elbow watching Lucy as she listened to the message.

Good news? he asked.

Absolutely, Lucy swung into his arms planting a powerful kiss on his lips. Lourdes lined up a gig for me. I have to call Camiel, she said.

Chad loved how animated she was. Her hands and body seemed to be moving everywhere as she shared the news with Camiel.

What are you smiling about? Lucy asked when she finished her call.

You, you are so fun to watch. Are you staying or should I take you home? he asked.

Staying.

What about work tomorrow?

Oh, I probably should go in, Lucy sighed. So, I need to go get something to wear.

You could leave some of your things here, Chad suggested.

Not a bad idea, Lucy agreed.

They reluctantly got out of bed, got dressed and then he drove her home.

Lucy, I didn’t think we’d see you tonight, Camiel said with genuine surprise when they arrived.

I’m not staying, grabbing some things for tomorrow.

Camiel followed her down the hallway into her room and saw she was grabbing a suit.

Are you going in to work?

Yes.

Well, I would have never thought that, especially with your new modeling gig.

I haven’t landed it yet.

Still.

Yeah, I probably will regret going in.

So, when are you moving out? Camiel asked.

Moving out? I love it here.

Yes, but it would be easier than you having to run back here for stuff.

Yeah, I guess.

And, that brings me back to my question. When are you moving in with Chad? Camiel asked again.

Chad said I could leave things there. Lucy looked as if she was contemplating it and then added. No, this works for me.

I’m all set," Lucy said looking at Chad as she emerged from the short hallway. Chad and Herald both got up from the table. Chad took Lucy’s suit from her and they said their good-bye’s.

So, when do you think Lucy will figure out how much Chad cares about her? Herald asked Camiel.

Hum. Camiel put a finger to her jaw and tapped it twice. You know, I should get her to go see Mystic Gypsy. And, I wouldn’t mind another visit myself.

And what can she tell you that you don’t already know? Herald moved next to Camiel and wrapped his arms around her. "I think it’s time we did something about me being the-one."

Oh, really? Camiel’s eyes grew big in anticipation.

Yes. I don’t have a ring, but if you would agree to have me and to hold me from this day forth, I can promise you I’ll get one for this lovely finger.

Why Herald, is that a proposal? Camiel blushed as the warmth of the moment washed over her.

Herald nodded as he looked deep into her eyes waiting for her answer.

"How could I refuse? You are after all, the-one."

Herald pulled her into a loving embrace and kissed her adoringly.

I want to give you your ring before we tell anyone. Is that ok? It won’t be long.
