Authors note: "The topics included in this eBook cover several areas familiar to readers of my other works including 'The Tao of Attracting Life', including physical and mental exercises, possible forays into the mystical, areas for personal improvement, and motivation. All are written in the straightforward, question-yourself-or-perish style that I try and maintain throughout all of my writings."
The book is divided into three short sections in which chapters are grouped together covering similar themes. A ‘Body’ section, contains the chapters relating to physical training, mindsets and motivation. The ‘Mind’ section which contains the chapters relating to mental processes and development. Foreword
Flowering Wisdom could be described as another addition to, or extension of my first ‘self-development’ themed offering, ‘The Tao of Attracting Life’. 'The Tao', focuses on and highlights key areas and techniques for successfully improving the quality of life through continuous motivation, thinking, and habit. This book originally began, due to feedback from readers, as a series of articles and short essays intended for publication on various websites, to support and extend the ideas contained within ‘The Tao’. It has now been added to, re-written, re-edited and released as a book for your interest and enjoyment.
The topics included here cover several areas familiar to readers of 'The Tao', including physical and mental exercises, possible forays into the mystical, areas for personal improvement, and motivation. All are written in the straightforward, question-yourself-or-perish style that I try and maintain throughout all of my writings. My style of writing probably came about somewhat in part because of my many years spent not only as a teacher but also a martial arts instructor who has heard all the excuses. But instead of writing about excuses, the so-called reasons why things can’t be done, I much prefer instead to continue to write about the reasons why things can be done, and my own theories on how.
I don't do excuses and this is a recurring theme throughout my books; you place your own limitations upon yourself and by doing this you create your own reality. So you could say that my style of writing is 'no-nonsense' in a way, and I know that some people are made to (or choose to) feel uncomfortable by that, but to be quite frank, the ones that do feel uncomfortable are probably the ones who need it the most, going by my own experience, anyway.
I have divided the book into three sections and grouped together the chapters covering similar themes into each section. So we have a ‘Body’ section, containing the chapters relating to physical training, mindsets and motivation. We have a ‘Mind’ section which contains the chapters relating to mental processes and development. And then we have a ‘Soul’ section (which could just have easily have been called Spirit but I quite liked the traditional martial arts style classification of Body, Mind and Soul) which covers slightly more ethereal topics and examines untapped potential of the human condition, among other things.
It is always my intention to motivate and inspire the reader to new heights, but only after they have looked at themselves, questioned and examined themselves, and decided to take the necessary steps to improve and motivate themselves through acceptance of active and motivated living. This is what I have done in my
