    ~Introduction~

Have you been thinking about making a change to a more nourishing diet? When they have decided to start a nourishing diet, many people first read Sally Fallon’s Nourishing Traditions or Nutrition and Physical Degeneration by Dr. Weston A. Price. Together these books offer tremendous amounts of information and years of research in hundreds of pages of background information, citations and recipes—literally hundreds and hundreds of pages. It can be pretty overwhelming to consider something the size of a phone book when trying to determine just what one should be eating. When looking these books over, the perception is that a nourishing diet is too difficult to understand so maybe it is better not to even bother. The truth is that the principles in a nourishing diet are time-tested, scientifically proven, and have traditionally been accomplished by people all over the world in many times and places and with far fewer resources than you have. As the mother of ten (yes, ten) homeschooled children, I find it easy enough to practice a nourishing diet and blog about it. If you have been worried about how to get started, here is the introduction you need to what the diet is, how to practice it and where to find more information so you can get the best start possible.

    ~Basics of a Nourishing Diet~

In the 1930s a pioneering dentist named Weston A. Price was keenly aware of a major turning point in health.
