Q My 6-year-old eats too little, while his older sister cannot stop eating. Why? What can I do?

A In my experience children are naturally inclined to eat enough and well. Therefore, when a child seems off-balance, I suspect they are not having the foods that they actually need.

They have no way of knowing that they need something else, so they adapt to what you offer them.

This does not mean that you or anyone are not providing healthy food, only that whatever it is you offer, doesn’t seem to match the child’s specific nutritional
