About this audiobook
Do movie romances ever happen in real life...?
Frankie doesn't believe in true love. As relationships expert at popular magazine Stylife, she has learnt that dating disasters are far more common than happy ever afters.
So when she is tasked to find out if meet cutes can work in real life she is up for the challenge - but whether it's being a damsel in distress with a flat tyre, or spilling coffee over a stranger, she isn't convinced this can really lead to love.
But little does Frankie know that the ultimate meet cute opportunity is just around the corner. As she is whisked off her feet (all in the name of her work project of course...) perhaps true love isn't just for the movies after all...?

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great love story, glad it was an audiobook or I would have taken a long time to read it. Great narrating Karen Cass
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The story started out fun & interesting but once they got to Hawaii it seemed to drag on with no chemistry. I found myself bored but made myself finish it. The ending was thoroughly disappointing & completely unbelievable. I found myself cringing several times.
I did, however, really enjoy the narrator! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Really cute story. Finally someone said that the meetcutes are false relationships are work. Despite the unrealistic setting the characters are real and true. Poor Frankie with all those terrible partners
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Super sweet story...very funny in parts...I enjoyed it all. Very Cinderellaish in many ways
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I was looking for a fun, lighthearted, romantic comedy and this was just perfect and definitely ticked all the boxes. From the start I knew I was going to enjoy this. It was funny, I'm still giggling about the dog incident amongst others. It was entertaining with an uplifting vibe, set partly in Hawaii and based on fake dating this was definitely a perfect escape read. I read it in one sitting and I'm already looking for my next read by this author.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Hilarious! I absolutely loved this book! If you need a lighthearted, true romantic comedy then this book is perfect!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It wasn't a "laugh out loud" book as described but it was still enjoyable.
My issue is how unbelievable/unrealistic some situations the FMC got into (e.g her boss packing her suitcase for a vacation and her not checking what's in it until she had to pick an outfit. Who does that?)
I read this book after finishing another one by the same author and it just made me realize how interchangeable the FMC are across a lot of her books. They all have the same physical attributes that they're not comfortable with and they have big boobs, they're kind of struggling financially, they have jobs where they get fired/or have not so good bosses, they have weird quirky oopsies e.g the part where the FMC tried to flirt using a pen and ended up sucking ink.
The use of the same character names across different books. It just felt like I was listening to the same book with different character names. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The perfect sunny vacation read. A little predictable, but that’s to be expected, lovesd it
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love the author, her humor, her flowing way of writing, just perfect. I loved the main characters and the idea of the story. Just perfect. I love it and I really recommend it. An easy five star review.
