      Oh, Aaron Shedlock…my favorite male narrator! Along with CJ Bloom, narration brought this book to life.

      The Cannon, the final book in the Swift Family series, is the romance between Sawyer, a baseball player who’s unique route to the big leagues is noteworthy, and Bristol Swift, a medical doctor who leads a regimented life without room for a man. Sawyer, aka Cannon, has many endearing qualities. His attempt to wear down Bristol’s refusals is entertaining. Watching Bristol lower her defenses over time was refreshing.

      Pike wove such a unique story for each Swift sibling, while consistently portraying the family and their values. I love how the traditions and home life of the Swift family were integral in each book…the Firefly Ball and annual Halloween party are impressive. Such a fun, fabulous series!
