I was immediately drawn into the book, as the world was ruled by The Registration now. The government granted US citizens one person of their choosing as long as they should live a chance to kill this person. You have two weeks to kill this person and nobody has ever escaped from their demise before. Also, you were only given ONE person per your entire life to complete this on…so, you had better use your registration correctly.
A very interesting idea and it would make you think twice before ticking someone off, and it was very effective eliminating war.

When Lee was in line to register her horrific step father she overheard someone else register her and that’s when her nightmare began. Apparently, the head of the register had put a bounty on her head and she needed to find a way to evade her fate and take down the current registrations.

I really enjoyed the storyline and the author was able to sprinkle in great twists along the way to keep the suspense rate up. I would have ranked it higher except I felt like the book ran out of gas at the 80% mark and it led to an underwhelming abrupt ending.

All in all, I would recommend if you enjoy these dystopian type books. 3.5 stars

The Registration is the first book I have read by the new to me author, Madison Lawson. I admired her talent to come up with an outrageous plot and able to make into a believable storyline. I was intrigued with Lynell from the start. She gets involved with quite the situation and mystery to find out who wants her gone, as well as, who she can trust. I admired her bravery, courage, and determination to survive. This was a thrilling ride to go on. There were a lot of events that I could not have predicted. The many twists and turns had my head spinning. There was a lot of action packed danger and full of adventure. I never knew what could possibly happen next. This was one of those books that constantly asking myself if the impossible could actually could one day be a real possibility. It was one I had a hard time putting down until I had the whole book read in one sitting. It will be placed among my favorite read of the year. I am giving The Registration five plus stars. I believe readers and fans of science fiction thrillers would be interested in reading it. I highly recommend it. I would love to see what other upcoming books by Madison Lawson will be releasing. I received a digital copy of The Registration from the publisher but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
